Building a Healthy Work Routine as a Remote Worker in Mallorca
The island lifestyle can either supercharge your productivity or destroy it. Here's how successful remote workers in Mallorca structure their days.

Moving to Mallorca to work remotely sounds like a dream. And it can be — but only if you build the right routine. Without one, the endless sunshine and beach proximity can turn from a perk into a procrastination trigger.
The most productive remote workers we've met at Cómodo&Co share a common pattern: they treat their coworking membership like a gym membership. They show up consistently, at roughly the same time, and they protect their working hours. The flexibility is in the margins — a surf session before work, a long lunch on the terrace, an early finish on Fridays — not in the core hours.
Morning routines matter enormously. Many of our members start with exercise — a run along the Paseo Marítimo, yoga, or a swim at one of Palma's city beaches. They arrive at the coworking space energised and mentally sharp, typically between 8:30 and 9:30. The commute itself, whether by bike through Santa Catalina or on foot through the Arxiduc neighbourhood, provides a transition that sets the tone for the day.
Breaks are equally important. The Mediterranean culture of long lunches isn't just pleasant — it's productive. A proper midday break, away from screens, recharges cognitive resources. Our members often walk to the Mercat de Santa Catalina for lunch or grab something from the cafés surrounding our Arxiduc space.
The key insight from our community: routine doesn't mean rigidity. The best routines are frameworks, not prisons. They give your day shape while leaving room for spontaneity — which is, after all, one of the main reasons you chose to live in Mallorca.
